Milan, Italy. Photo taken by me.I know it's only early August, but since I came home from my holiday yesterday, to me it feels like summer is pretty much over. That's not a sad thing though, because I'm not really a summer person and next up is my favourite season: autumn! I love doing things like sorting out my wardrobe, change my bedroom and thinking about what colour I might dye my hair for the new school year. That last one is always a tricky one as I can never decide between dark brown, honey blond and reddish (like
elinkan!)... Alsooo, there's no arguing that the autumn collections in H&M, Zara and such are always the best in the year. Excitiiing!
That being said, it has been a very nice summer. I went to Italy with my family. We stayed in Tuscane for a while and then went to Rome, which was very very beautiful. We saw most of the famous Roman ruins and Vatican City. We ate spaghetti in tiny restaurants and I learned a bit of Italian. I bought this lovely little book about Audrey Hepburn, called
What would Audrey do? and read
Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer, which was sometimes so funny and sometimes very sad and frightening. I also read a bit of
Pride and Prejudice and
The Picture Of Dorian Gray. On the way home we stopped in Milan, and I bought a beautiful dark red trenchcoat for the winter.
Now I'm going to read lots and lots of blog updates I missed while I was away!
Love!
